Organizational & Human Development (OHD) offers a broad based experiential Student Leadership Certificate Program available to any current student (undergraduate and graduate) at the University of Waterloo. The program has been designed to encourage all students to participate regardless of whether they are in a leadership role.  The intent of these offerings is to explore and enhance Waterloo's student’s leadership capabilities, and to help students gain knowledge and develop skills in leadership on campus and within the community.
Some additional details:

  • Workshops are free to any current UW student (must be registered in the term)
  • Students can complete the 12 workshops in any order and at their own pace
  • All 12 workshops must be completed in full to be eligible for the certificate
  • This program does not qualify for University credit
  • Students register for workshops each term – enrollment may be limited
  • The workshops are facilitated by staff and student facilitators – certified through OHD

For the Spring term we will be offering 3 registration periods for all workshops. In order to assist you in organizing your term, above is a pdf document for you to view the entire Spring 2012 term workshops (available for viewing on May 4th, 2012). For registration purposes, you will be able to sign-up for workshops held within a specific time frame during each registration period:

  • Registration #1 -opens Tuesday, May 8th, 12noon
    for workshops scheduled May 14 - June 1
  • Registration #2 - opens Tuesday, May 29th, 12noon
    for workshops scheduled June 2nd - June 29
  • Registration #3 -opens Tuesday, June 26th, 12noon
    for workshops scheduled June 30 - July 15
